Antibiotics and by surgery if indicated.
Usually a surgery is the best way to relieve the pain. Other than that antibiotics and pain medicine can be tried
Have your appendix removed; it is the only cure for appendices pain!
Appendix pain? If it is appendicitis, the only thing that relieves appendicitis is surgery.
Hi, Dr. Willkomm here. People typically only have “appendix pain” if they have appendicitis. The best cure for that is surgery. It would be very unusual to have chronic appendix pain (pain longer than a week.)
Surgery. Appendicitis is typically treated with surgical intervention. Newer studies are showing that antibiotics alone may be sufficient, but there is always a risk that you can get a second episode of appendicitis.
Removal of the appendix. Consult GI, you may need a colonscopy and EGD. Also, possibly a CT scan of abdomen and pelvis, if not yet performed.
