It's best to focus on staying hydrated when you have the flu. Drink plenty of liquids and eat light, more bland foods. Avoid heavy, spicy, and fatty foods. Stick to broths, toast, eggs, baked chicken, rice/ mashed potatoes, and such until you start feeling better.
