Hello There,
When you're in pain and all the OTC remedies fail, wouldn't you want to see your doctor or the ER? Same thinking here, when your tooth is hurting you, assuming you have been following routine checkups and hygiene regiments, that suggests something may be wrong with your tooth or associated areas in your oral cavity. You should see you dentist as soon as possible for appropriate diagnosis and treatment. Best of luck to you.

Well honestly we don’t like you to wait until you have pain because that usually results in a much higher bill at the end for you. Seeing your dentist on a regular basis allows them to foresee any problems that may be coming your way.
Prevention is always better! We recommend every six months to catch things before they start instead of waiting until they happen.

When the pain is too great to bear! Really you should go before you have pain. Seeing a dentist regularly can prevent those issues.

Typically, you should visit the dentist every 6 months for a check-up. If you have continuous throbbing pain that keeps you awake at night, then it is serious pain and you should see the dentist before 6 months.
