I am a 57 year old female. I want to know when should you go to the hospital for an ulcer?

You should have an ulcer diagnosed by a gastroenterologist, who will do further tests and treat you accordingly. If you are vomiting blood or notice bloody, dark stools, then you should be evaluated properly.
