All depend on origin of the the back pain

Acupuncture for back pain depends on other symptoms that an acupuncturist would look for. Usually checking the tongue & pulse adds to a more accurate diagnosis. Generally speaking, acupuncture for back pain is usually local where the pain manifests. You will have to discuss your condition with your practitioner however in our practice if a patient has back pain then some of the needles will be where the pain is.
