SSRIs like sertraline and paroxetine are commonly prescribed and effective antidepressants for PTSD. If you have any further questions or need more clarity, please consult with a psychiatrist. If youre in Texas, we welcome you to reach out to www.MidCitiesPsychiatry, were here to help you.
Hard to say. Therapy is an essential part of treatment for PTSD.
The two SSRIs currently FDA approved for treating PTSD are sertraline (Zoloft) and paroxetine (Paxil)
There is no best antidepressant for PTSD. Everyone is different and you will need a thorough assessment with a psychiatrist to determine what is best for you.
