“Why do animal products suddenly taste like bad fish?”
I'm completely healthy other than having a week-long bout of congestion recently, but suddenly all animal products including meat, eggs, and everything else tastes and smells like bad fish? I don't know why and I don't feel bad at all.

Unless you had Covid recently, I doubt that I know of an answer. I would recommend getting a checkup from a family practice or internal medicine and requesting a referral to a neurologist.
