I am a 38 year old female. My foot hurt badly after surgery from an on the job accident. Why does my foot hurt so bad after surgery?

Likely due to disruption of bone, ligaments, tendons etc....please call your surgeon asap if needed.
It's not uncommon to have pain after foot surgery particularly when there was an accident that required the surgery. Part of the pain may be residual from the accident. Your doctor can prescribe a medication to help minimize the pain. Tell your physician that you are in pain and would like something to minimize it.
This question cannot be answered without much more information. The mini kind of foot surgery. Some of them have very little pain after surgery and others have quite a bit. There are also several conditions such as complex regional pain syndrome which caused excessive pain after surgery. You need to consult your surgeon
When you combine an injury with surgery, there is a lot of pain and swelling. Most pain can be controlled with medication.
Foot surgery can be painful! Swelling after foot surgery can take up to a year to resolve.
Acute inflammation happens after all open surgery. This is often painful especially if the foot is not resting and post op compliance is poor

Possible infection, low pain tolerance, surgical handling of tissue. More importantly, what surgery was involved due to on the job accident?
