It typically means that the stool is passing so quickly through the small bowel that the bile secreted by the liver into the small bowel to digest fats is not getting reabsorbed before passing into the large bowel. It is yellow-green and can make the stool green. Usually occurs with diarrhea.
It's normal for stools to sometimes change from brown to yellow or green, depending on what has been eaten and how the bowel is processing the diet. Nothing to be alarmed about. Red blood in the stool or very black stools should be evaluated. Otherwise, don't worry about variations in stool color.

Hi!

In most of the occasions, it is related to something you're eating, such as green vegetables. May also be associated with medications or supplements.
