You should schedule an appointment with an orthodontist. He or she will be able to better address your question after a clinical examination and an evaluation of the appropriate diagnostic orthodontic records are completed.Generally speaking, traditional braces on the outside surfaces of the teeth, lingual braces on the tongue side surfaces of the teeth, and clear aligners are the options available to most adults to straighten their teeth.
Hello, we have many options available for our adult patients. Many adults choose to use Invisalign or comparable aligners. This will help to gain improved alignment. Another choice is clear or ceramic braces for alignment. This offers a tremendous amount of control over the teeth and bite. Finally there are some doctors who use lingual (inside by the tongue) braces. This option is not as popular since it costs more and can be more irritating to the tongue. I recommend that you meet with an orthodontist to discuss your options. Many doctors will offer you a complimentary exam to discuss your options. I wish you well in your journey to a perfect smile! -John
There are several ways to straighten your teeth. You could do conventional metal braces, ceramic (clear) braces, or Invisalign. An orthodontist could explain your treatment and show you examples of each method.
You need to discuss your options with an orthodontists who will give you enough information for you to make an informed decision. Your options are traditional braces, either clear or metal, attached to the outside of each tooth, or lingual braces attached to the inside of each tooth, or clear tray aligners which are successive sets worn full time except for eating and changed out at two-week intervals. All systems have advantages and disadvantages depending on the tooth movement necessary, discipline and compliance of each patient. Your success with any of these options depends.
The options depend upon what the problem is and how severe it is. It also depends on what you are comfortable with your level of compliance. Wearing clear aligners and/ or elastic bands require discipline in order to be successful.
The best option would be metal braces. It could also be treated with a clear aligner treatment from Invisalign.
As an adult, very important you see an orthodontic specialist. Braces, or clear aligners are really the only two effective options. An orthodontic specialist can tell you pros and cons of both, and know the special considerations when straightening teeth in adults i.e. periodontal (gum), bite, tooth wear, previous dental work issues, etc..
Options to straighten teeth can include Invisalign, clear or regular braces, or various removable appliances. I have found that each individual has their own unique circumstances and lifestyle which can help determine which choice is best for them. There may be several options that are perfect for you.
There are multiple treatment modality options for both adults and children: metal braces, porcelain braces, lingual braces, or clear aligners (Invisalign). If you are in NYC I am inviting you for a complimentary consultation to discuss details of your potential treatment. There are many different options including traditional metal braces, ceramic braces and Invisalign. Unfortunately without a comprehensive examination it is not possible to tell what would be best for you!

You have very many options for orthodontic treatment today, including clear tray aligners-like Invisalign, esthetic clear braces, esthetic metal braces, or a combination of braces and clear aligners-hybrid treatment. Depending on your teeth and your bite, your orthodontist will determine the best treatment option for your particular case.
