“Are antibiotics required to treat severe pimples?”
I am having a severe and painful facial pimple/acne problem. Do you think I would need antibiotics to help treat this?

Antibiotic therapy short term is one of the treatments to rapidly treat inflammatory acne (red pimples and pus bumps). Depending on your age and types of acne there are many other long term options to keep acne clear. To prevent scarring often these treatments are used to keep things under control.
