Ear-Nose and Throat Doctor (ENT) Questions Swallowing Disorders

Are there any home remedies to manage swallowing pain?

I have developed a throat rash which is extremely painful. The throat has gone completely dry and swallowing has also become very difficult. Are there any home remedies that can help me manage this painful condition better?

You should see your doctor to try and find the cause for what you are experiencing. In the meantime, warm salt water gargles are helpful in alleviating a sore throat. Drinking plenty of fluids and avoid alcohol and caffeine. It goes without saying, but there should be no smoking/vaping/etc.
Throat pain can be serious, especially when it lasts very long, and if you’re a smoker and/or drinker. See an ENT.
There may be, but first you need to know the reason for your symptoms. Please consider consulting a physician.
OTC numbing sprays/lozenges; fluids.
Need to see ENT for evaluation.
Throat pain may be serious especially in a smoker or former smoker and a direct laryngoscopy may be needed...you may need to see an ENT doctor for this.
