Make sure she’s drinking plenty of fluids and offer several small meals a day. Try cold soft foods like applesauce and yogurt.
After a throat infection the tonsils may remain swollen for several weeks. Give foods that are soft and cold and make sure she gets plenty of fluids. Make sure she was checked for strep and mononucleosis. Mono can make her throat sore and have no energy for up to 6 weeks
