Neurosurgeon Questions Brain Aneurysm

Are medications enough to treat a brain aneurysm?

An MRI scan recently showed that I have a brain aneurysm, unruptured. My doctor is treating it with blood pressure medications to prevent a rupture in the future, but I don't know, I feel like the treatment should be more. Are medications enough to treat a brain aneurysm?

Small aneurysms are usually treated with meds first. Surgery is only used for larger or more symptomatic ones. Discuss with your doctor for more details.
There is no such medication for an aneurysm.

She is now well past the time of immediate post op complications so there are many possible explanations. She could have anemia, problems with spinal fluid drainage, or reaction to medications. Her seizure medication can often create side effects such as dizziness and fatigue. I would check with your primary care physician and if that fails to resolve the problem, another CT or MRI of the brain could be done. I hope this helps.
