I am 72 years old and I need to have oral surgery. My doctor said it is not safe for me to undergo anesthesia. Are you awake during oral surgery?

Depends on the procedure, but oral surgery is quite amenable to local anesthesia without sedation. Check with your dentist/surgeon.
