Pediatrician Questions Feeding baby

My 9 month old baby is not able to digest non-breast milk. What should I do?

My son is 9 months old and I have just started trying to feed him dairy milk. He has diarrhea and sometimes even vomits with this milk. What should I do?

Continue with human breast milk. Try a hypoallergenic formula.
You may need to use a hypo allergic formula like alimentum or nutramigen if you do not have available breast milk. If you are ready to wean, just pump and give him the breast milk esp to 1 year of age. At one year you can try silk soy or other options but right now he needs formula or breast milk
We normally don't recommend to start dairy products in children until the age of one. I would hold off for three months and give his body a chance to heal.
