Dermatologist Questions Sunscreen

What is the best brand of sun screen?

When I was younger I received many sun burns and am starting to notice the effects on my skin. What is the recommended sun screen?

There are many brands. Use one with an SPF of at least 15 and reapply regularly. It is important that the product is cosmetically acceptable to you.
Depending on your skin type I usually recommend broad spectrum mineral (inorganic) sun blocks containing zinc oxide and titanium dioxide with SPF 30 or above. Remember most people especially those with lighter skin types or high risk of skin cancer typically need both sun protection (clothing/hats) and sun block to properly prevent skin cancer, aging, and sun burn.
The best sunblock, not sunscreen, is zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.

There is no best brand of sunscreen or moisturizer for the billions in this world. Each person is unique with their own preferences and skin type or genetic predisposition to allergies etc. Money is well spent consulting a dermatologist for advice rather than hunting around the millions of different types of cosmetics. Some of them can cause serious damage to your skin.
