Rest and good food
Stretching before and after. Ice followed by heat. Topicals containing capsaicin are great along with vitamin E, fish oil/flax seed oil, or turmeric orally all are natural anti-inflammatories.
Naproxen OTC
Your muscles are hurting because they haven’t been pushed this hard before. Use ibuprophen and make sure you are keeping your electrolytes balanced, so lots of liquid like G2.
Normal adults without kidney disease or hypertension may take naproxen sodium (Aleve or generic) or ibuprofen. These NSAIDs in normal adult doses have been found to be as effective as Tylenol with codeine for relief of pain, without the addictive side effects. Talk to your doctor. In general, occasional use of these over-the-counter medicines provides
effective pain relief and is not harmful. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) can be an effective alternative in those with medical conditions mentioned above.
