“Do blood thinners cause excessive sleepiness?”
My mother had a bypass surgery one year back after which she has been prescribed certain medications. Every time she takes her blood thinner tablet she feels very sleepy and drowsy. Are blood thinners known to cause sleepiness?

No, they are not known to do that.
No, it should not. Make sure not too many meds given to lower blood pressure, also after surgery meds are given for anxiety and pain, which can lower blood pressure. I would get a good history, physical exam, blood tests, review meds, ekg and echocardiogram.

No, but she might be on a beta blocker which has the side effect of fatigue and she may be taking it around the same time.
