I had a bone grafting surgery around my ankle. How long will the recovery take before I can resume my sports again?

Typically 6 months
Depending on the amount of bone taken, the type of surgery and the age of the patient, 6 to 12 weeks is a reasonable estimation.
Without knowledge of the specific injury, it’s difficult to say. If X-rays show complete healing, it might allow a return to sports. Typically, that process takes many months.
Really depends on the extent of the bone grafting. For a nonunion, it is typically 3 months minimum before proceeding to higher-level activities.
You first need to ask your doctor when you are healed. Depending on the size and the type of graft it may take up to a year to be able to resume sports. The minimum amount of time would probably be around three months.
