Breast cancer recurrence

Diagnosed with breast cancer last September 2016 with DCIS. Had a partial mastectomy and had radiotherapy treatment. Diagnosed again within 10 months with invasive breast cancer in the other breast and had a total mastectomy. What is the chance of it recurring?

This is a difficult question to answer. The chance of recurrence depends on the stage of the invasive cancer at the time of the mastectomy and if there was a recommendation for adjuvant therapy to decrease the risk of recurrence.
Recurrence of breast cancer depends on many factors such as tumor size, surgical margins, and type of treatment after surgery. I'm afraid it is hard to be precise about recurrence without additional information. Both a history of dcis and breast cancer suggests an increase risk of recurrence above those without a history of either, additional information is needed for more accurate prognostication.
Not enough information and wrong question. Need tumor profile genomic other age other info. The question is what gives you the best chance rate length remission and quality to
If you have had a partial mastectomy on one side and mastectomy on there is about a 10% chance of local recurrence. Probably about the same rate of a new cancer developing. You may want to consider genetic testing.
