Can I see a massage therapist and a chiropractor for shoulder pain?

I am a 31 year old male. I have shoulder pain and want to have it treated without medication. Can I see a massage therapist and a chiropractor for shoulder pain?

That depends on the cause of the shoulder pain. If its purely muscular, than massage could be helpful. If you have tried massage without benefit you should have an evaluation to determine the cause of your symptoms. Some chiropractors evaluate and treat shoulders others don't.
Yes.
While chiropractic treatments tend to focus on realigning spine and neck vertebrae to eliminate back, neck and headache pain, they can also involve therapeutic massage techniques such as deep tissue, sports and myofascial massage. Massage therapy manually “works out” muscles and ligaments to enhance cell metabolism and generate growth of new cells within inflamed tissues. Alternately, strictly chiropractic techniques are designed to alleviate pressure on nerves usually caused by misaligned vertebrae compressing and irritating spinal nerves.
Yes. I would seek an examination by a chiropractor and if the diagnosis/Injury would additionally benefit by massage therapy, I would ask their advise.
Yes. I would let the massage therapist and chiropractor know you are seeing both for care.
Yes, it can help you reduce your pain if the condition falls under the scope of chiropractic treatment.
Absolutely! I highly recommend picking a chiropractor or a massage therapist who specializes in Active Release Techniques (ART). Go to Activerelease.com and hit find a provider.

Yes, absolutely you can. A good sports medicine or orthopedic specializing chiropractor will be able to deal with the shoulder problem conservatively. Using a massage therapist can also be helpful in reducing pain by working.
Hello,

Yes, you can. Chiropractic and massage compliment one another nicely. Chiropractors also a technique called myofascial release, a type of deep tissue muscle stripping.

Yes! However it depends on the severity of the injury as to how much help the massage therapist would be. I recommend consulting with a chiropractor to ensure you do not just treat the symptoms but the cause of the problem.
Yes, both are great in conjunction.
Chiropractic and massage are not competitive. They, if done right, compliment each other.
Depending on the reason for the shoulder pain, yes. If the pain is musculoskeletal in nature, chiropractic and massage therapy is great. If it is because of heart problems or liver/gallbladder issues, maybe not, unless the they have training to deal with those issues. Either way, a chiropractor should take a detailed history and do an extensive examination to uncover the underlying cause of the pain, and make appropriate recommendations.
Absolutely, you can. It's good to combine both for a lot of pain problems, including shoulder pain.

yes
It really depends on what's going on with your shoulder. If the problem is related to structural damage to the shoulder joint, neither would help. If it is not, massage and chiropractic care could potentially work very well.
Yes! I find it is an excellent combo. I have a massage therapist who shares space with me for this reason.
Yes absolutely, both professionals are good choices to treat shoulder pain.
Sure. They complement each other extremely well
