Can a dentist fix half a tooth?

I am a 37 year old female. I want to know if a dentist can fix half a tooth?

Sometimes.
A tooth can be fixed when is chipped either by restoring it with composite (white filling) or a crown. It depends on how much tooth structure is left.
It is difficult to diagnose and answer without more information. A porcelain veneer covers half of a tooth and restores form, function and aesthetics. If half of the tooth is fractured or decayed, then it would need to be seen and radiographed to determine the appropriate restoration.
It depends on the extent of the damage. Go to your local dentist for an X-ray and exam for a diagnosis and estimate to treat.
It depends, in some cases yes
Yes. A dentist can fix half a tooth. However, the options for the fix depends on the stump of teeth left, how viable and strong the stump is. It may require a root canal treatment on the remaining stump and a crown over the stump. Sadly though, if the prognosis are not good, it may involve extraction of the stump.
Most of the time, yes. If it's a clean fracture with minimal decay, no nerve exposure, the Px is excellent. If the fracture exposed the nerve, then a root canal is likely, but always need. Depending on the extent of exposure, there are excellent biocompatible materials that can actually grow dentin and act as a matrix for tooth restoration.

Possibly, depending on the condition of the other half of the tooth. Sometimes a tooth can be reconstructed and a crown placed if needed.
Hello,

It depends on which half of the tooth is missing and if the remaining half is intact or has decay in it. As long as a tooth is free of decay and the root is in tact, then a lot of times the dentist can build a tooth up from the gums. Things that mean the dentist can not fix half a tooth is if the remaining half has too much decay or if the decay goes between the roots of the tooth or if the decay goes too deep down the root of the tooth. It is always worth a free consultation to find out what can be done with half a tooth.
Hope this helps.

My best to you,
