No, a root canal is inside a tooth, it doesn’t affect the teeth nearby.
Not at all. Root canal is done inside the core of the tooth and does not have any effect on the surrounding tooth.
No. Inflammation from the root - yes.
Hello,

Sorry to hear about your tooth. As my dad always said, "Anything is possible." However, barring any mishaps, it is unlikely that you will have damage to nearby teeth. Root canals are usually performed inside the tooth.

Done correctly, a root canal will not damage adjacent teeth and in fact can keep an infected root from infecting the tooth next to it.
Hello,

There should be no damage to neighboring teeth when it comes to a root canal. The procedure consists of a general dentist or endodontist removing the nerve and blood vessels from a single tooth that is infected. I hope that answers your question. Don't be afraid of what you read on the internet about root canals. As long as your doctor performs at the highest standard of care, you will be fine. We are in the business of saving teeth.
Thank you for asking your questions before your treatment. To answer your question, no. The materials we use do not harm the neighboring teeth. However, the condition causing your troubles, an infection, for example, CAN spread and cause damage to your neighboring teeth.
Cheers!
Properly completed Root Canal Therapy ensures not only that the patient keeps the treated tooth, but also keeps the surrounding teeth safe.
No a root canal can not damage nearby teeth. Unfortunately there are a lot of myths associated with root canals. If you do not follow through with having the indicated tooth root canal treated the bacteria can continue to spread and inflame and infect that tooth more. The purpose of the root canal is to eliminate bacterial from the infected root(s) by carefully cleaning and disinfecting the root canals.

Generally speaking, a root canal should not damage a near by tooth.
A root canal should not damage the adjacent teeth.
Anything is possible but it is highly unlikely.
That’s a non-issue. The procedure is done completely inside the offending tooth so adjacent teeth are uninvolved.
