“Can an empty stomach cause pain?”
I am a 16 year old male. I wonder if an empty stomach can cause pain?

No. The stomach normally should not cause pain when empty or full. At your age, sensitivity of the stomach (functional GI disorder) would be the most common explanation.
Not normal to have pain. Try to eat your meals on time.
