Anesthesiologist Questions Blood Pressure

Will anesthesia have a lasting effect on my blood pressure?

I am scheduled to have surgery in 3 weeks, and my blood pressure has been quite low. Is it safe for me to go under anesthesia?

Yes. We frequently manipulate blood pressure during the periphery over the course of treatment.
Unless the blood pressure is low enough to cause symptoms (light headed, weakness) then I am not typically worried.

My answer may be different if you are taking blood pressure medication and then it would matter what medications they are, when they were last adjusted or prescribed, and if you had any heart or other medical conditions.
