Dentist Questions Tooth extraction

Can I drink coffee after tooth extraction?

I will have a tooth extraction in 2 weeks in the morning. I wonder if I can drink coffee after tooth extraction?

You should be able to drink coffee after the extraction. You will have to wait for a couple of hours as the patient is supposed to close under pressure to stop bleeding and you are supposed to eat soft and cold foods after extraction and you should drink cold coffee for 24-48 hrs. You should discuss with your dentist who does the extraction as they do give post-op instructions to the patients.
Thanks.
Of course not! Caffeine is contraindicated. It disrupts wound healing!
Yes. That is no problem at all.

Yes, you can, but be careful of the temperature so as not to burn the soft tissues in your mouth.

We always suggest to not eat or drink until the anesthetic is worn off. It then doesn’t matter what you prefer to drink. Coffee is as acceptable as any other beverage. Good luck with your extraction.
