Can an MRI angiography show blocked blood vessels?

My doctor referred me to have a magnetic resonance angiography after I told him I experienced some numbness in my foot. Will this help doctors determine why?

That depends on what part of the body he is looking and the size of the vessel. Vessels below the calf are usually difficult to see due to the small size.
