Hello, although we cannot remove burn scars 100%, we can diminish them with various laser modalities. For further inquiries or questions, you may want to visit my website at DrRoyamd@aol.com. Good Luck!!!!
Sadly burn scars are forever. There has been improvement as noted by fat grafting because of the stem cells present. There also oral and topical scar drugs which alter the chemistry of the scar and cause softening.
It is with plastic surgery that burns scars are removed and improved. If burn scars are large, then it would be best to see a burn specialist at a burn center. They would know best how to treat your scars.
The majority of the time surgical improvement of scars requires excision of the offending scar and recreating a more acceptable scar within the area. It is essentially a trade off.
Absolutely. That is why it is called plastic or cosmetic surgery. But there are many other alternative treatments to resurface the skin and gradually buff off certain types of scarring.
Various plastic surgery procedures can improve or correct burn scars. A comprehensive plan can be determined with a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.
These scars can be improved greatly through multiple office methods, though they can never be completely erased.
Plastic surgery may minimize burn scars with excision, skin flaps and skin grafts.
Hi,

Yes, you would have to see a plastic surgeon who specializes in burns.
