Can prenatals make you depressed?

I am a 23 year old female. I want to know if prenatals can make you depressed?

Prenatal vitamins would be more likely to make you less depressed. Depression during pregnancy is a serious condition and should be reported to your doctor.

If I understand your question, you are pregnant and wonder if this can cause depression. That depends on your attitude to being pregnant. If you are upset about being pregnant, then this situation can result if depression.
NOT taking prenatals can make you depressed. Folic acid is added for prevention of anemia and to prevent birth defects, but it is essential for hormones of happiness (without being too technical). If you are feeling low/depressed then please get a thorough medical and psychiatric evaluation to rule out other causes of depression, e.g., low thyroid.
No. They can help prevent or treat depression. Folate and vitamin D help prevent/treat depression. Good vit D levels help prevent serious psychiatric illness in the offspring. If you are pregnant and depressed, seek help for your sake and that of your unborn baby!
