Can sleeping on your side cause scoliosis?

I am a 30 year old male. I wonder if sleeping on your side can cause scoliosis?

It is unlikely that any sleeping position will cause scoliosis. Scoliosis is usually hereditary or do to structural damage.
Not generally. However, you could have muscle spasm that could give the appearance of scoliosis if the spasm was sufficiently strong and long enough to move the spine.
Interesting question. I've been in practice for 35 years, & doubt sleeping on your side can cause scoliosis.
No. To my knowledge, there is no literature that says that sleeping on your side can cause scoliosis.

No, but it can aggravate your symptoms.
I’m not sure there’s any evidence of that, anywhere.

Sleeping on your side will not cause scoliosis by itself. There are many factors including genetics that cause scoliosis. Someone with scoliosis may notice that sleeping on their side is more comfortable.
