Can someone live on a liquid diet for life?

If you get enough calories, nutrients and protein from meal replacement shakes, is it possible to live on a liquid diet for life?

No. The reason being is you need to get fiber to have your digestive system work properly. Plus, replacement shakes do not and cannot provide you with all the essential minerals and other nutrients you need that you can only get from eating whole foods such as vegetables, fruits, berries, nuts, and grains.
Food is meant for many things. Nutrition to keep you alive is only one of those things. Real raw fresh food, chewed well, and thoroughly enjoyed will provide far more benefit than a meal replacement shake is even capable of.
