Can tooth extraction be done under general anesthesia?

I'm 24, and I'm going to have a tooth extraction next week. Can this be done under general anesthesia?

Yes
Not a good idea.
Must be done in hospital with anesthesia services.
It can be but most people would recommend local anesthesia to avoid the risks of general anesthesia
Yes. In fact, for kids it is quite common.
Generally extractions can be done with local anesthesia and mild sedation. It should not be necessary to undergo general anesthesia for extraction unless there is a medical reason to do so.

It’s better to get a local anesthesia injected by the oral surgeon. In early pregnancy, some general anesthetics have to be avoided.
