Yes, otoplasty is a common procedure that can help with large or prominent ears.
Yes. It’s called otoplasty. I tack the ears back. The procedure fir each ear is approximately one hour. Recovery includes a headband for one week. Pain is minimum. Most patients complain of a headache for a day or two, for which pain medication is given. You can visit my website at DrRoya.com for further information.
Ear surgery can be performed to make prominent ears less prominent. This is done for ears which protrude at too great an angle from the head. It pins the ears back, but it does not actually make them smaller, it makes them less prominent.
In order to get smaller ears you get Otoplasty or ear lobe modification.
Otoplasty is an operation designed to decrease the projection of prominent ears. Surgery allows the ears to be pinned back somewhat so they don’t stick out as much. However it does not make the ears smaller. Call anytime for a virtual consultation to discuss the best options for you. Good luck.
