Can you see cataracts in the mirror?

I am a 40 year old male. I want to know if you can see cataracts in the mirror?

Only if they are very bad cataracts. The problem is, if they are that bad, your vision would be very poor and you wouldn't be able to tell! Perhaps if you have one bad cataract and the other eye was good, it would be possible.

No, unless it is a white, mature cataract. SO
If you have a significant cataract, you might be able to see it in the mirror. It would look like the normally black central circle (pupil) in the affected eye(s) looks milky white, off-white, or tan-colored. It may not be that dramatic, just a faint hazy not-perfectly-black pupil. If you are seeing well in each eye, then it's probably too faint to see in the mirror, and would not require surgery unless it is causing some other problem, like high eye pressure or inflammation.
Not usually. Cataract is a clouding of the natural lens of the eye, which is located behind the iris and pupil. If the cataract is very dense it may look like a cloudy grey, brown or even white pupil instead of a clear black space.
No, usually not.

A cataract which has become mature and either milky white or 'brunescent' brown can be seen in the mirror as a discoloration in the pupil.
Usually not, you need a very bright light
