Will a vitalize chemical peel result in dry flaky skin for me?

I am planning to get a Vitalize chemical peel as recommended by my dermatologist. However, I have read one of the biggest drawbacks of using chemical peels is the flaking of the skin. I have an oily skin, will dry flaky skin occur for me inspite of this?

Vitalize is a superficial peel milder than Jessners. It causes a dry exfoliation for 4-6 days and then the skin will normalize. Using light lotions when the peeling begins will help feel more comfortable.
It should happen, but I wouldn't consider it a drawback. The purpose is to exfoliate the skin and expose new fresh skin. It usually starts on the third day post-peel and ends by the seventh day.

Using acid on anything will cause burns. Talk to your dermatologist. Don't try to save money for consultations. You can save a lot of unwanted problems later.
Depends on which chemical peel is used: Retinol, glycolique acids, TCA
The purpose of a “peel” is to peel and take off the top layer of skin. The peeling generally starts 2 days after and can last about a week. Moisturizing can help minimize the flaking, but that is the purpose of the peel. Vitalize is considered a medium depth peel.
