What should I do about my toddler's constant ear pain?

My 2 year old son often gets sharp and shooting ear pain. What can be done to treat this/relieve him of this pain?

If you use Q tips, you should stop. Intermittent ear pain is often not due to ear disease. Cutting teeth can be a cause in this age group. If it persists, consider seeing an ENT.
You would really need to see an ENT in person. An exam of the ears is needed to see what’s truly going on.
Usually due to possible middle ear inflammation and nasal congestion alleviated with oral ibuprofen or acetaminophen
Take him to a good ENT doctor and have him check him
See ENT. Adenoid hypertrophy, Eustachian tube dysfunction, middle ear fluid are possibilities
