Nephrologist (Kidney Specialist) Questions Dialysis

If my mom gets dialysis, are there any chances of infections?

The doctor has suggested for my mom to get dialysis because of her kidney disease. But could this expose her to any infections? What should we do to prevent any infections?

Hand washing prevents exposure to many germs even for non dialysis patients. Best to discuss her risks with her dialysis educator at the clinic.
If to prevent her infection related dialysis is difficult:!!
1 drink a lots of water
2 try as much as walking
3 take more vegetables food plus avocado
4 emotions be not depressing
She has infection risk if she’s started on dialysis by a tunneled catheter. Her dialysis unit will screen for hepatitis B and C which will need to be treated if acute.
