Gastroenterologist Questions Gallbladder polyps

Do gallbladder polyps have any symptoms?

I had pain in my side, but this was the only symptom I was experiencing. The doctor said I had gallbladder polyps after some tests. Do gallbladder polyps have any other symptoms?

No, gallbladder polyps almost never cause symptoms. They are usually ignored unless they get bigger than 1 cm in diameter.
If associated with gallstones or if they are large polyps then they may cause symptoms.
Gallbladder polyps typically do not cause any symptoms. Gallstones can sometimes cause pain in the right upper abdomen. However, many people have gallstones and it doesn’t mean this is the cause of the pain.
