Hi,

Dentures actually sit on top of gums. Partial dentures take support form teeth using different anchors such as clasps and rest seats. But all dentures sit on top of gums/bone.
Hope this helps.
Ill fitting dentures can cause gum irritation leading to hyperplastic tissue due to the irritation. This makes it look like gums are growing around a denture. It is not healthy. Please see a dentist
No
In a healthy well fitting denture no. There is a situation that can arise If we have a n ill fitting denture. If a denture is overextended meaning to long around the border. Tissue can be injured and if left unadjusted tissue will overgrow. This would need to be addressed by a dentist.
Gums will not grow around a properly fitting denture.

No, they do not. But sometimes, if there is denture irritation from a sore spot underneath a denture, the gum tissues can "grow" around the area, sort of like a callous forms from excess rubbing on areas of skin.
No, gums do not grow around dentures. Typically, there is bone loss with dentures and the tissue follows the bone.
