Sounds like a yes.
The dentist must to take an X-ray to see how your teeth are positioned and examine your mouth to make the right decision.
Best thing is to see your dentist the X-ray taken can help locate them and the dentist will be able to determine if extracting them is needed.
If they are impacted, you need to have them surgically removed. Best thing to do is to consult an oral surgeon and ask all your questions after they have seen you.
Removing wisdom teeth is usually a surgical procedure. It may or may not involve an incision in the gum with stitches, or some removal of bone. Ask your dentist for a full explanation after taking X-rays.
If the wisdom tooth is impacted, there is a good chance a small surgical procedure needs to be done to remove the tooth. With an X-ray your dentist will be able to correctly inform you of the procedure
Yes
Impacted wisdom teeth need removal if they are symptomatic. Technically any extraction is a surgical procedure. So, yes, you need surgery to remove them, just depends on how complicated they are to determine how extensive a procedure.

If your wisdom teeth are impacted, then they need to be removed surgically preferably by an Oral Surgeon with experience.
