I would say it would be best to schedule a visit with your ophthalmologist. He or she will be able to determine if this gray haze should be a cause for concern.
What you need is a diagnosis, which is simply identifying what this gray haze is. Once you know what it is, you will know if surgery is the correct treatment for it. If this is a new visual symptom, you need to see an eye doctor soon (within a week). Good luck.
Gray haze in vision or on the surface of the eye is not normal at your age. You should have a full eye exam preferably with an ophthalmologist to determine the cause.

Usually not, but it depends where in the eye it is.

Depends on the diagnosis. A complete ophthalmologic exam should be performed.
Probably not. It depends where the gray haze is, but if it is around the outside circle of the colored part, it will not affect your vision.
No. Skin lightening cream, protection from sun light, sunglasses, will help. Check blood cholesterol and lipids which can cause eye discoloration.
