ā€œDo you oil pull before or after brushing?ā€

I am a 26 year old female. I want to start oil pulling. Do you oil pull before or after brushing?

Do it after you clean your teeth. Oil pulling is an alternative medical practice in which an edible oil is swished around the mouth for a period of time and then spit out, similar to mouthwash. There is no evidence to support the claims made for the benefits of oil pulling.

If you did a truck pull it would be just as beneficial.
Oil pulling is not a recognized scientific treatment approved by the ADA, nor do I recommend it for my patients for better oral hygiene. That being said, there is no evidence that it can hurt you! I suppose the best time to try it would be before you brush and floss your teeth to make sure that you remove all of the carbohydrates after the oil pulling.
Sorry, never heard of it. Stick with brushing with a fluoride toothpaste and floss.
Iā€™m not sure that it matters, but I would suggest that you brush after.
