Chiropractor Questions Neck Pain

Does chiropractic treatment really work for kids?

My son is 8 years old and deals with neck pain frequently, mainly because he never sleeps right. If we took to chiropractic treatment, will it work?

Chiropractic is very effective and safe for children. They usually respond very well to chiropractic care.
Yes please take him in! I have seen miracles with children. I had a 1 and a half year old that didn't sleep more than 3 hours a night. After his first adjustment, a gentle adjustment with an activator and he slept 9 hours!
Hello,

That isn’t a yes or no question, but if you believe in chiropractic like I do, yes. There are too many factors to take into account to answer yes or no. For me personally, adjusting my children has made a tremendous improvement in their quality of life.

In my experience both in practice and with my 4 year old son, chiropractic can absolutely be beneficial for kids. The treatments are much different, as compared to treatments for adults, in that it is much softer and less dynamic while still being effective.
Chiropractic care can help with postural spinal pain. It would also be good to discuss proper sleeping positioning and ways to have to son improve his sleeping. Chiropractic care may help.
Hello,
Yes, chiropractic treatments can help, it can be simply because of a posture issue; which we all deal with now because of technology. Adjustments, muscle stretching, self help exercises can alleviate the pain and discomfort.

Thank you
If a Chiropractic adjustment is warranted for your son, then yes it will work to help alleviate his neck pain. As Chiropractors we are highly trained in evaluating patients as much as a PCP. Our evaluations help us better understand the proper treatment protocol and if an adjustment is identified to help by the Chiropractor, then yes it will help your sons pain.
Most definitely chiropractic works for kids. His nervous system is still developing and you want proper nerve flow from the brain down to all parts of the body. Children shouldn't have neck pain unless the nerve is being irritated. I have 4 children that I've adjusted since birth and all are very smart and healthy:)
Could be numerous causes. From birthing practices, an accident, acquired kyphosis, subluxations, poor posture during sleeping and too much time on a game boy or some type of a computer, poor vision, the list goes on and on. By all means, take your child to a fundamental chiropractor for a full examination. To answer your question, “Can a Chiropractor help?” Yes, a chiropractor can help.
I can’t say 100% without knowing his full case, but chiropractic works really well for neck pain. A lot of the time the pain is caused from a spinal misalignment which can lead to a number of symptoms including pain. Having him adjusted will realign his spine which will help his nervous system to heal and function better. Typically after an adjustment, symptoms tend to disappear
In our office, we truly believe healthy kids become healthy adults. Children have all kinds of stressors on their spines, from a traumatic childbirth process to long periods of time using technology. If your son is experiencing pain in his neck, I would not ignore it. His neck pain is telling him there is a problem that needs to be further investigated. Chiropractic care is a safe and effective way to help identify your son's problem and fix the root cause. Chiropractic care has been effective in helping children grow in the proper alignment, so they don't have worse problems when they get older. I would recommend getting your son evaluated by a chiropractor that specializes in pediatric care.
Thank you.
Chiropractic or spinal care is often beneficial for children. I have treated infants for colic, allergies, and pain. There are over 100 techniques in Chiropractic and many are extremely gentle.
Typically, children respond quickly and effectively to chiropractic adjustments.
Hi,

From my experience, 8-year-olds do not typically have neck pain. First, I would rule out anything from a traditional medical professional (meningitis, infection, etc.). If you have already done this, then bring him in for a chiropractic examination. They will check his range of motion of this neck, posture, neurological reflexes, muscles strength, palpation etc., and determine if they can help. Also, they will advise on better sleeping positions and stretches you can help him do at home. Sometimes subluxations or misalignments can happen years before pain is experienced, so review his history and relay that to the chiropractic physician.
Hey there, thanks for the question! Chiropractic ABSOLUTELY works and it is especially great for kids. 8 years old is pretty young to have neck pain, but sleep issues is a very common complaint chiropractors help with.
Yes.
Possibly, he may have an underlying misalignment of his spine which is causing the pain and affecting his sleep. If this is the case, Chiropractic would be a very effective treatment.
