Dentist Questions Cavities

Does drilling a cavity hurt?

I was lucky enough to not get a cavity throughout childhood, but now at 23, I have two. Does getting a cavity drilled hurt?

Hello, a doctor can numb your gum and tooth and all you would feel is the pressure. Thank you for your question.
Everybody’s pain tolerance is different; most people can do a small cavity many times without any anesthetic, however, the majority of people get numbed for their cavities and, if so, this is a painless experience.
