“Does everyone act weird after anesthesia?”

There is a wide variety of reactions to awakening from general anesthesia. Many patients have vivid dreams and awaken as if they are living those dreams; others relive stressful situations from their lives and awaken as if in the middle of those threats; still others awaken calm and slowly as if from a pleasant, relaxing vacation at a sunny destination and no one can predict which patient will follow which path.

Some people could present personality changes after general anesthesia or IV sedation. Adverse drug reaction.
