Does oily food settle in the stomach?

When I eat oily or fried foods it causes heaviness and bloating. Does it mean this food just settles down in my stomach?

The heaviness comes from the fact that oily and fatty foods take a lot longer to empty from the stomach. Food that is slower to empty will cause discomfort. So the solution is to eat smaller and lighter meals.
No! this means that your body is having to produce an "acid wash" just to disintegrate the bad food to eliminate it from the body.
It means that greasy or fatty foods take longer times to be digested and to be emptied from the stomach into the small bowel beyond.
