Yes of course.
Good Question. Relaxation can hep you be calm and can help with some of the symptoms of anxiety, there are times when anxiety is too high to be calmed with relaxation and other techniques may be needed.
Hi,

Yes, many relaxation techniques such as Yoga and meditation, as well as other mindfulness exercises can assist in reducing anxiety. Also important to assess thinking styles, as our thoughts can also influence feelings of anxiety and the related symptoms. If this is the case, seeing a therapist who specializes in CBT can be helpful.
Absolutely yes. Spiritual guidance helps many of these issues
Yes--relaxation would help but only superficially if your anxiety condition is acute. Unraveling the triggers to your anxiety would be optimal
Certainly, relaxation can help anxiety . However there may be psychological reasons for the anxiety which you may best deal with by seeing a therapist.
Yes, it can. A psychobabble term called Reciprocal Inhibition describes the premise that the body cannot be both relaxed and agitated/anxious at the same time. So, if you put your body into a state of relaxation, this will inhibit the anxiety. It is important to realize that sometimes we think that we are relaxed, but we really are not, so watch out for that problem!
Yes, relaxation training can often help anxiety. Often several relaxation training sessions are needed to learn the procedures, but then the relaxation can be triggered by yourself in response to anxious feelings.

Hello. Yes, relaxing does help when used correctly.
Hi,

Thank you for your question. Yes, relaxation can absolutely help to reduce anxiety! There are many ways to relax when stressed. Stress reduction and relaxation techniques include deep diaphragmatic breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, grounding exercises, mindfulness meditation, practicing positive mantras or positive self-talk, guided imagery and visualization,
and journaling or stream of consciousness writing.
I hope this has been helpful!
