I had an elbow bone dislocation for which I had an operation. How long will the recovery take?

3 months for strong ligament healing. Range of motion can be individual. The greatest improvement is in the first 6 months, but improved up to 12 months.
That is a good question for your surgeon, who knows precisely what procedures were performed and thus what rehab is required. It also depends on how you personally define recovery.

You must follow your doctor, but for simple dislocation, after two weeks, motion of elbow must be started, but if it is accompanied by fracture, the story is completely different, thus I recommend your doctor's instructions.
