Family Practitioner Questions Low Blood Pressure

I experience sudden drops in my blood pressure. Why is this?

There are times when my blood pressure suddenly drops, especially in the mornings. It makes me very dizzy and lightheaded. What causes this sudden pressure drop? Also, how can I avoid these drops from happening?

Could be meds, dehydration. Maintaining good hydration therefore important.....But there are medical conditions involving malfunction of your autonomic nervous system which can cause this. See your doctor.
There are a number of causes for BP falling, the most common is drugs, and if you are on some, discuss this with your doctor. It can also be caused by low hormone levels, especially cortisol, or if you are dehydrated. Some forms of heart disease can also do this, but most often in association with drugs.
